The dual bevel system is easy to see and use in job site conditions thanks to its high-visibility scale and easy angle adjustment. Bevel from zero to 4degrees with positive stops at 0 degrees, 22.degrees, 33.degrees, 4degrees, and 4degrees in both right and left directions.

The saw also miters 60 degrees to the right and 50 degrees to the left and features an adjustable miter detent plate with positive stops. A cam lock miter button allows the user to lock angles between detents. A miter detent override is also used to allow precise angle adjustment without falling into detents.

Other Features

With ever-increasing demands of customers, some chop saws now come with a beam. This attribute is for those working in dire lighting surroundings.

After getting familiar with these features, I have reviewed the top chop saws you can choose from and they are listed below:

Compound Miter Saws

This 12-inch miter saw was built for trade use and you can see why. It’s a really solid machine that will cut the thickest of timber with ease. As such, it’s probably packing more power than most people will need unless you happen to be working on a very big project! The patented axial-glide system offers large, smooth cuts in tight spaces. Because the GCM12SD doesn’t use a traditional rail setup, it will save you significant workspace. A 1amp motor will deliver power for hours on end with no-load speeds of 3,800 rpm. Versatility is offered with this miter saw’s compatibility with a variety of 12-inch blades which is great if you want to cut different materials.

A 14-inch horizontal capacity, a 6-1/2-inch vertical capacity and 6-½-inch crown capacity mean that this product is very useful for a variety of cuts. Quick-release Squarelock fences make alignment quick and easy and more importantly, accurate. Requiring no adjustments, the quick-release fences only need one touch to lock and unlock and can be easily slid into the appropriate position by the user. While this is the best compound miter saw, there are a couple of small drawbacks to consider. This miter saw weighs 6lbs which is fairly heavy for a miter saw. What’s more, it’s quite pricey but this is expected from a high-quality product such as this.

One of the biggest advantages of the Hitachi C10FCE(aside from the very competitive price) is the compact size and weight. Weighing just over 26lbs, it’s the lightest compound miter saw in its class which makes it easy to transport. There’s also a handle built into the unit which makes transportation even easier. What’s more, the size is just 2x 19.x 16.inches. This helps save significant workspace which means more space for your other tools! You might think that because of the size, that the C10FCElacks power but a 1amp motor suggests otherwise! This can generate an impressive no-load speed of up to 5,000 rpm. This sort of power means faster and more efficient cuts which should leave edges nice and smooth.

We like this miter saw because it is also user-friendly. The horizontal handle has a soft grip that provides comfort, control and reduces vibration when the miter saw is in use. There are miter stops which allow you to easily select a preset point for a particular angle. Flexibility is offered through the 0-5degree miter angle range and the 0-4degree bevel range with adjustable bevel stops. Overall this is the best compound miter saw for the money with the only real problem being insufficient dust collection from the sawdust bag. This can result in a rather messy workspace so a small workshop vacuum may be required!

Insufficient dust collection

The DeWalt DW71is a 12-inch single-bevel compound miter saw. With the 1amp motor it offers good power for the price and offers clean, precise cuts. A no-load speed of 4,000 rpm will make light work of even the hardest woods yet it should be delicate enough to provide those smooth edges that you seek. If you’re not satisfied with this, keep in mind that this product comes with a 3-year warranty much like most DeWalt products. The DW71is designed to be mobile. While not the lightest compound miter saw on the market, it comes in at a respectable 4lbs. A simple locking pin as well as comfortable side handles in the base make this miter saw easy to transport.

Ideal for a number of applications, this compound miter saw can make 45-degree bevel cuts through lumber of up to x inches. The steel bevel stops at 0, 33.9, 4and 4degrees which makes setting the most common bevel angles much quicker and easier. While this is certainly a compound miter saw worth considering, there are also a few cons to keep in mind. As in the case of the Hitachi C10FCE2, the dust collection of this product seems to be fairly poor. Furthermore, the saw is not compatible with any DeWalt laser or LED light which would help in providing more accurate cutting.

Sliding Compound Miter Saws

Arguably the best sliding compound miter saw, the DeWalt DWS77packs a powerful 1amp motor with 3,800 rpm. One of the highlights of this product is the double bevel which lets you cut bevels without needing to turn the material over. In many ways, the DWS77is ideal for amateurs and professionals alike. That’s because it is both precise and powerful in equal measure. With the back fence design you can cut up to x 1lumber at 90 degrees, and x 1at 4degrees. This is, therefore, a very versatile miter saw that can be used for a wide range of cutting projects.

Unlike a few of the other miter saws we have reviewed, the DWS77has an efficient dust collection mechanism which is said to collect over 75% of the dust generated. Not only is this good for your lungs, it also saves on cleaning and stops sawdust from entering the machine and causing problems! Despite this, the dust bag isn’t very spacious but it does do its job well. We like this product for its lovely straight cuts and powerful motor. While powerful, the motor is fairly quiet when running, at least in comparison to most miter saws. It’s worth knowing that this product is on the heavy side at 68lbs. As with many DeWalt products, a 3-year warranty is offered for peace of mind.

Dust bag is quite small

For a powerful and versatile sliding compound miter saw at a competitive price, the Evolution Power Tools RAGE is a very solid choice. Powered by a 1amp motor, it has a no-load speed of up to 2,500 rpm. The 28-tooth tungsten carbide tipped blade means that you can cut through not only wood but aluminum and mild steel. The 10-inch sliding compound miter saw produces a fast and clean cut with little heat and virtually no sparks. If you’re planning on cutting through metal, it’s worth taking a look at the various blades that are sold separately as you may struggle to cut some of these with the standard blade that is included.

While the RAGE is versatile and can cut through a range of materials, the result is a motor and blade that don’t run quite as quickly. This means that it’s not exceptional in any one area and cutting is not as quick as with some other miter saws. If anything, it’s a jack-of-all-trades. What’s more, consumers have found that the laser lacks accuracy and is therefore pretty useless. This is not really a saw for industrial use and is best for those who are on a budget and need to save some space. It’s fairly lightweight and therefore easy enough to move around when required.

Poor laser lacks accuracy

Whether cutting baseboards or crown molding, the quick and accurate cuts provided by the DeWalt DW71will get the job done. A 10-inch blade is backed by a reliable 15-amp motor with a no-load speed of 4,000 rpm. The sturdy build of this product is reflected in features such as the stainless steel detent plate which has 1positive stops. These allow for an easy set-up and improve overall efficiency. Versatility is on offer with the ability to go 0 to 60 degrees to the left and 0 to 5degrees to the right. Arguably the best feature of this product is the tall fence which accommodates 6-1/4-inch crown molding. It can also be used to cut base molding of up to inches which is impressive.

With a weight of 51lbs, the DW71is neither the lightest nor the heaviest compound miter on the market. A built-in carry handle makes the unit easy enough to transport. It’s good to know that this product is compatible with the DeWalt DW718laser system which makes the cutting line much easier to see. Please note that this is sold separately. A three-year limited warranty as well as a 90-day money-back guarantee make this a safe option and should remove any doubts. A couple of concerns include the blade saw not being of the best quality and the dust collection being average at best. However, these

Compound Miter Saw

Unlike the basic miter saw, a compound design has a bevel option already. Specifically, it is a tilted cut which is necessary for making doors and windows. You can even adjust this tool so that it can do bevel and miter cuts at the same time.

Furthermore, a compound miter saw comes in two varieties, too. They are single bevel and dual bevel. The single bevel miter saw can only make cuts in one direction. Because of this, you still have to move your workpiece so that you can make a bevel cut on the opposite side. On the other hand, a dual bevel miter saw can cut both sides at the same time!

In general, a compound miter saw is ideal for crown molding. This power tool makes the job faster and easier than using a basic design. The accuracy of its bevel cuts is one of the reasons why this saw is ideal for complex cuts.

Sliding Compound Miter Saw

If you are looking for versatility, then you should opt for a sliding compound miter saw. With this advantage, you should already expect that this variety of miter saw is quite expensive. Specifically, all the features of a compound design are present on this tool. In addition to that, it also got a sliding arm which enables wider cut for solid objects. Its improved capacity makes a sliding miter saw very versatile in any applications!

Features Of A Miter Saw

Most of the miter saws on the market today use a standard blade. It has a fine design which is perfect if you are making rough cuts. However, a fine blade is not suitable for woodworking projects. Therefore, if you are planning to do some exquisite finishes, then you may need a more powerful blade.

Specifically, the blade will indicate the height or depth of your cut. Usually, the blades of the miter saw have a size that ranges from inches to 1inches (diameter). Different kinds of materials require different kinds of blades. Some blades are for cutting wood, and there are blades for slicing mild steel. If your blade has a lot of teeth or serrations, it can do finer finishes.

The slide is only available to a sliding compound miter saw. We mentioned that a while ago. This component allows the saw to cut materials that are relatively thick. As a piece of advice, you should check first the specs of the saw and the blade and see its capabilities. If you are just cutting a thin material, then there is no need for you to invest in this tool. However, for cutting posts for your fence, a sliding miter saw is all you need.

Blade Guards

The blade guards are essential for clearing the stock. In this way, you can have a clear view of the cutting line. Once you start raising the saw, the guards automatically lower to cover the entire blade. Therefore, it is a sort of protective feature, too!

The Different Sizes of Weight Plates

If you are considering purchasing weight plates, for either home or commercial use, it’s incredibly important to understand the different discs that are available.

Olympic Discs  a standard size across the fitness industry, are known as Olympic because of the 2″ diameter centre hole. They fit all commercial bars and most plate loaded gym equipment ranges such as our Sterling range.

Standard Discs generally considered for most home gyms, only have a 1″ diameter hole. Standard weight plates will not fit on an Olympic bar.

Rubber Weight Plates

Rubber weight plates are exactly the same as cast iron weight plates, but with an extra layer of rubber coating for safety, protection and longevity. The rubber coating helps both the weight plate and the floor to a certain degree, and will ensure that the plates are longer lasting and harder wearing.

One step up within this section is urethane coated plates. These are generally the same dimensions and shape as rubber plates, but are much more durable and less susceptible to markings and cosmetic damage. As well as marking less easily, these plates will not mark your floor, walls and other equipment like rubber plates will. They also have the benefit of not offgassing, which some rubber products do in gym environments creating an often unpleasant smell.

With rubber coated weight plates, it is quite common to see terms like “non-standard Olympic plates”. Non-standard Olympic plates are plates which are made to fit Olympic sized bars but have a reduced circumference when compared with a traditional Olympic weight plate. The main thing which makes a plate non-standard is the presence of grips, which are cut into the plate making them easier to lift off the ground, perform exercises without a bar and to place back in the weight rack.

Technique Bumper Weight Plates

Demand for bumper plates has been increasing over recent years due to growing popularity of Olympic lifting, some of which can be attributed to a rise in the number of people participating in CrossFit training.

A bumper plate is a solid rubber weight disc which can be safely used for performing Olympic lifts and can be dropped from a height during exercises like snatches and presses. The purpose of bumpers is to create a safe environment and allow certain exercises to be performed without the risk of damages to the floor, equipment or athlete.

Strength and conditioning coaches and gyms have long been using Olympic lifts in training, and weightlifting as a sport relies upon this core set of movements that require the use of bumper plates.

The first kind of bumper plate available is a technique plate. These are very basic and made from a simple single piece of rubber, without a metal ring around the hole. These only come in light weights and are perfect for introducing beginners to Olympic lifts and helping athletes improve their technique. Facilities tend only to have a small set of technique plates and they are normally only produced in 2.5kg and 5kg weights, otherwise training or competition plates would be used.

Training Bumper Weight Plates

Training bumper plates can vary slightly in depth but will all, for the most part, be a similar diameter. Top manufacturers like Eleiko and Zhangkong produce training plates which are the exact dimensions of competition weightlifting plates.

More affordable training bumper plates may not be the exact depth of IWF competition plates, however they will, for the most part, stand up the Olympic lifting requirements of a specialist facility, commercial gym or CrossFit box. Training plates usually come in black or are colour coded by weight.

Competition Bumper Plates

The factor which separates Olympic competition plates from training plates and all other kinds of free weights is the calibration. Official IWF Competition rules mean that plates need to be accurate to +0.1% and -0.05%. This means that production of a 25kg plate only has a 2gram margin for error. The result is that Competition bumper plates are incredibly accurate and consistent, so the weight you are lifting is absolutely what you think it is. Origin Fitness is a proud distributor of Zhangkong Olympic weightlifting equipment which is IWF approved and has been selected to be used at the 201Rio Olympic games.

Fractional Plates

Within our Zhangkong range we also have fractional (or incremental) plates. These include 0.5kg. 1kg, 1.5kg. 2kg, 2.5kg, and 5kg discs. The 0.5-1.5kg also have no metal insert within the centre circle. This is ideal when in competition, it means you can add these on the end without removing the cuff. The grip in the inner circle sticks to the bar and does not move, keeping the other plates in place.

Powerlifting plates

These plates generally come in cast iron, steel or a chromed metal. They are thinner than the plates listed above as they allow for more weight to be added to the bar, specifically in the sport of powerlifting. This is important to elite lifters and more advanced training centres as it keeps the discs closer to your centre of gravity eliminating any whip on the squat.

Craftsman 21237

The basic miter saw that bevels in one direction, the compound miter saw, which features blades that pivot left and right and tilt for beveling; the dual compound miter saw, which also adds the ability to tilt the blade in two directions; and the sliding compound tool, which is all the above but allows more application extension by moving the material or the cutting blade forward and back. Let’s take a closer look at our review of the top miter sawwing tools.

Up front controls

The Bosch GCM12SD is sure to impress not only with its clean, precise cuts, but with the powerful motor and the quickness of cutting through material like a breeze. The controls are intuitive to use, and having them up front makes them so much more convenient. The built-in extensions are great to have, along with the dust control that keeps the work area relatively clean.

Tall fence

With a name like DeWalt, what isn’t there to love? This miter tool delivers a beautiful performance at a budget-friendly price. Easy to set up, this sturdy tool exceeds our expectations with accurate calibration and controls that are easy to operate. The instructions are clear and concise making this one of the best models for both novices and professionals alike.

Electric brake

Milwaukee has always been a trusted brand with professional contractors, and this saw maintains that reputation with some amazing features and ease of use. As with many other miter tools, this one has a 15-amp motor, but what sets it apart is how it maintains a constant cutting speed under load, and it doesn’t bog down, providing the best clean, consistent cut. There are so many features we don’t have the room to list, but try it out yourself – you won’t be disappointed!

In minutes, this miter saw is assembled and ready to use. It has a solid-sturdy build and the saw head moves consistently smooth along the rails. The rails themselves slide nice and smooth as well, and they have enough resistance that they remain sturdy. The laser adjusts well, and with a 4800 rpm this tool cuts fast and accurately well. One of the best additions to anyone’s workshop.

The 10-inch Miter Saw blade

Spins faster. 12-inch blades tend to spin slower because of their larger radius. And more speed means smoother cuts, so a 10-inch blade that spins at 5000 rpm will create a smoother cut than a 12-inch blade that spins at 4000 rpm. For example the DeWalt DW71is a power-packed miter saw with a 15-amp motor and a no-load speed of 5,000 rpm that delivers quick, accurate cuts.

The 12-inch Miter Saw blade

Unless you are regularly working on larger, more specialized projects, and really have more of a need for a specific size miter saw, we would recommend going with the 10-inch miter saw for its overall performance with most DIY and professional cutting projects. We hope this article has been helpful in your quest in finding the right size miter saw for your needs, so you can go forth in making that informed decision.

Great Value

The bottom clamps make it so nice and easy to secure this miter saw to the work table for more cutting accuracy, as well as the handy clamps to secure your work pieces in place. The innovative laser alignment makes cutting great again and super easy to accurately position your cuts, and the dust collector is an improvement over previous models when it comes to sufficiently trapping sawdust.

Weighing in at under 2pounds, the C10FCEis one of the lightest 10-inch tools on the market, making this miter saw easy to tote around your work area. Along with a powerful motor and a whopping five-year warranty, this miter is well worth the money and is a great value.

Ninja Express Chop

Whether you are a homeowner or renter, odds are you have used a Black+Decker appliance. From wood cutting tools to home cleaning accessories, Black+Decker is a reputable brand known for producing quality goods among many different types of markets. Knowing this, I was not surprised by the results of the FP1600B while preparing a person meal with my cousin.

The B+D processor comes complete with a stainless steel chopping blade and a reversible slicing/shredding disc, perfect for versatility in the kitchen. This allows the machine to perform a veggie chopping or grating duty efficiently with optimal results. When you are finished grating cabbage, simply flip the disc and shred a carrot, what an easy way to make coleslaw! If you need to chop tomatoes for a salsa, switch the disc for the chopping blade and off you go. The change out is quick and easy as these blades spin on a metal shaft in the center of the working bowl, allowing the cook to lift out the used hardware and replace with ease.

Fear not, for these blades will not move until the top of the unit is secured into the safety lock. Growing up working in restaurants I have seen many cut fingers at the first aid kit. Naturally, I had to point out this products interlocking safety system ensuring the blades will not spin until the work bowl is secured. Perfect for chopping veggies and not fingers! In order to assure your processor does not go flying across the kitchen during the slicing and dicing, this unit suction cups onto the counter. After using this product once you will understand why.

Need a mirepoix for stocks or stews? Switch out the slicing/shredding disk for the chopping blade and toss in your carrots, onions and celery for a mirepoix processing party. In no time, you will have the perfect base set and ready to go. In order to get the desired results, I use the pulse option for chopping up a mirepoix base versus continuous operation.

You can also take advantage of the continuous operation of the chopping blade to whip up a smooth hummus, pesto or even peanut butter. If you are mid-hummus creation and decide you want to add more olive oil or those roasted red peppers you’ve been meaning to get rid of, toss them down the chute and in minutes you’ll have your tasty creation. The best part about the FP1600B, you can throw it all in the dishwasher after you are done, an easy clean-up. Who really wants to clean the kitchen after creating a huge meal anyway?

Grinder Size

A smaller grinder will have a smaller feeding tube, while a larger one will have a larger feeding tube.  A smaller size will also have less power than a larger one.

So, what are you getting a grinder for? Are you looking to grind up some burgers or meatballs for you and your family every now and then? Do you plan on entertaining lots of friends? Are you planning on making big batches of homemade sausages? Or do you need a meat grinder to process your game meat? These questions will help you determine what size meat grinder you need.

What Are You Grinding

If you are just grinding up meats like beef, chicken and pork, then most grinders will be able to do that without a problem. Game meats like vension, elk and wild boar are a tad tougher but any of the grinders that I’ve reviewed shouldn’t have a problem with being able to grind those meats.

I would say that the most important consideration when it comes to buying a meat grinder is the cost. Most of us have a budget so there’s only so much we can spend on a meat grinder. That’s why I’ve created pages with different price ranges so you can look for a grinder that will fit your budget.

Don’t forget to think of your meat grinder as an investment, especially if you are making your own dog food or processing your own game. You will be saving a lot of money in the long run, so get a grinder that is going to last.

Stainless Steel

If you want a stainless steel grinder, you are going to be paying much more for it than for a grinder that is made from aluminum or steel. However, you can’t beat the look of a stainless steel appliance. If you will be grinding a lot then a stainless steel grinder is definitely the way to go as they are heavy duty and more durable, since the internal gears are made of metal and not plastic.

Stainless steel grinders also come with stainless steel accessories, so you can put them in the dishwasher to clean afterwards which is a nice bonus.

A Little Goes a Long Way With This Miter Saw!

I started my research into finding the best miter saw on the market with the DEWALT DW7110-inch compound miter saw because several people I know have one and they all recommend it strongly. Not to be one who goes blindly along with the herd, I just had to play detective and do some quality research to find out for myself if it is as great as they say.

Anyone who knows anything about power tools knows the DEWALT brand is renowned for producing high-quality tools, and that includes some of the best miter saws on the market today. If you have many woodcutting jobs to do around the house or on your job site, you understand the value of having a versatile and dependable miter saw around. Let me share with you what I learned about this miter saw and you can determine for yourself if it lives up to the hype.

Powerful and Accurate

Accuracy is the next thing I check when looking for a power tool, especially one that will be used for miter cutting. The cam-lock miter handle on the DW71is adjustable, making it easy to cut accurate angles, and the stainless steel detent plate has 1stops for efficiency. You can cut just about any angle with this detent plate, and for me, more angles means more possibilities, which is always a good thing. There is also a detent override feature that gives you the ability to adjust the miter setting while keeping the saw from slipping into the miter detents. Unfortunately, it does not come with a laser cut guide, which can be a godsend when you need super-precision. But the good news is that the DW71is compatible with the DW718adjustable laser, which you can buy separately if you really need it.

On the Fence

The fence on the DW71is not very high, in fact, for cutting tall baseboards it may be too low. If you work with a lot of tall, thick boards this may not be the model for you, the DW71is much better suited for those jobs. For cutting just about anything else, however, the DW71works great. The smaller size also makes it lighter and more portable.

The People Have Spoken

Features and Specifications

Following are the various features and specifications incorporated by DEWALT DW71After reading the information given below, you’ll be able to better analyze the quality and efficiency of this saw, and evaluating the suitability of this saw for your requirements will be more evident to you.

Adjustable Miter Detent Plate: DEWALT DW71miter saw incorporates highly efficient detent plate with eleven positive stops which enhances the productivity and ensures that the cutting will be in accordance with your requirement.

Tall Sliding Fence: The crown can easily be molded up to several inches due to the presence of tall sliding fence which provides significant support. It also molds against the sliding fence along with the capability to sliding out of the way with high degree of ease while applying bevel cuts.

Extremely Efficient Design Highly Suitable for Fast and Precise Cuts: DEWALT DW71compound miter saw has 1inch blade which is backed up by highly consistent and powerful motor of 1AMP. The motor is highly efficient having speed of 4,000 RPM thus requiring very little time to cut, mold, miter cut or cross cut. This sturdy machine has terrific design which enables it to provide a highly versatile setup and much enhanced accuracy to handle various types of jobs. It employs user friendly cam lock miter handle which is extremely easy to adjust and provides accurate miter angles in very short time and it also allows for detent override which makes it possible for you to set the miter setting without any risk of saw slipping into the miter detents. It has broad miter capacity, from 0 to 50 degrees to both left and right, which enhances its versatility even more.

Highly Portable and Very Easy to Transport: This saw possesses much lighter weight and its total weight is 4pounds. It incorporates a well-designed carry handle which makes it much easier for you to lift it and transport it to the jobsite.

I’ll strongly recommend buying this product because it is a highly versatile machine which can easily be adjusted to perform huge variety of tasks. It is reliable, small, and easy to carry and highly recommended by several users, therefore you can have blind trust on this machine.

Sourcing Options

3D Printed parts (for GTBelts and Greg’s Wades extruder with Jhead)

Select based on desired extruder and pulleys/belts. ABS softens at a higher temperature, so is good in proximity to motors. PLA is more wear resistant, and so makes longer lasting gears.

3D Printed parts (for GTBelts and Greg’s Wades extruder with Jhead/E3D)

Belts and Pulleys

Timing belts (T2.5, T5, etc.) are highly discouraged in favor of GTor GTbelts. Make sure that the belt holder matches the belt you choose. (The belt holder is one of the 3D printed parts above.)

2x 6mm wide GTbelt pieces (760? And 900? mm long) for x axis, for y package with all of the above cut from 2m circumference belt

Extruder Cold End

There are a number of extruder cold ends available, but not all will fit the iunmodified. To be safe, make sure the extruder you decide on is compatible with your version of the i(the single plate and the box frame versions have different carriages). When purchasing extruder parts, be sure that they work with the filament diameter you intend to use (aka, 1.7or 3mm).

There are no files for an extruder among the official STL files (either box or single plate), so there is no official extruder. There is a version of Greg’s Wade Extruder, as well as a Bowden extruder (both dual and quad versions!), which have been modified to fit the single plate version of the iGreg’s Wade Extruder seems to be most common, although the compact/dual extruders appear to work to some degree (Seems to be still under development, as of 2013-8-15). (Note: A compact extruder is essentially half of a dual-extruder, with a few small design changes.)

Direct drive extruders push filament through the hot end quickly, and can retract it just as quickly to reduce oozing. Higher gearing ratios give more precision (good for smaller nozzle apertures and layer heights) at the cost of slower speed. The lowered motor torque allows smaller, lighter motors.

Extruder Hot End

First of all, the hotend must fit to your extruder cold end.

You also have a couple options when it comes to the extruder hot end. The J-head extruder was designed so that it could be machined all in one piece. This makes it cheaper and more reliable, but means you need a J-head for each nozzle diameter you want to print with. (They do have exchangeable PTFE liners for different filament diameters.) Having a separate nozzle, heater block, barrel, and PTFE sleeve allows the user to mix and match filament size and nozzle diameters on a whim.

The build surface is chosen so that the printed filament adheres to it. Various tapes can be used, and have the advantage of being easy to remove from both the piece and the bed underneath. Glass provides poor adhesion, however hairspray or a glue-stick can be used to make a good bond.

The bed doesn’t necessarily have to be heated. If the first few layers of a print cool non uniformly, they have a tendency to curl up like a potato chip. Heating the bed greatly minimizes this problem.

PCB Heated Bed (Most uniform heating. May require LEDs and wires)
